Clayhouse Red Cedar Vineyard Paso Robles 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, $9.34-$13.99, 87 points, poured a deep ruby trending soft purple at the leggy glass wall and clear rim.
Grape was the dominant smell, with just a hint of the sea and black currant.
Near full-bodied with good acidity, an underlayment of tannin, flavors that reflected the nose, and a long finish of cola, accelerating cayenne pepper, slightly unripe mulberry, and a well integrated 13.5% alcohol.
