Merriam Vineyards Dry Creek Valley 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, $19.99-$33.99, 89 points, poured core black trending crushed black currant purple/red at the glass rim.
Ocean smells with lilac, cedar, and plum were pleasant.
This 2005 Cabernet was full-bodied with a luscious texture, good acidity, mostly resolved tannins, flavors of plum, blackberry, cola, savory notes, and black licorice.
Finished long on the trailing palate with a well integrated 14.5% alcohol, and a mild spiciness.
