Smith and Hook (Hahn Winery) Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon


 Smith and Hook (Hahn Winery) Central Coast 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, $17.59-$25.99, 88 points, poured core black trending a deep purple toward the clear rim-ring.
Smells of cedar, clove, black currant were rich and pleasant.
Full-bodied red wine with good acidity and moderate tannin.
Dominant plum flavor was garnished with coffee, blackberry, cola, and oak notes.
Finished long on an accelerating spice, oak, and alcohol (14.8%).
Varietals were 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petite Sirah.
