Triton (Casttilla y León) 2008 Tempranillo, $13.59-$17.99, 86 points, poured core black trending purple/red at the leggy glass wall and thin wine ring.
Toasty plum and mulberry aromas were not particularly pleasant.
Full-bodied with good acidity and still firm tannin carried licorice, heavy oak notes, blueberry, and strawberry flavors.
Finished fair, if not a bit syrupy, on the trailing palate, hints of eucalyptus, good hot spice notes, and a warm 15% alcohol.
At this point you will need to decant!
