Vignobles Jeanjean Domaine Le Pive Gris 2013 Rosé, $11.99-$14.99, 90+ points, was more a peach pink color, trending almost water clear at the glass shallows.
The lovely subtle floral aroma dominated an even more subtle watermelon/strawberry aroma.
Very light, almost gossamer body with good acidity managed to mirror the aromas in a delicious delicacy.
Finished well on the trailing palate, a hint of kiwi, and the innocuous 12% alcohol.
Varietals were 30% Grenache Gris, 30% Grenache Noir, 30% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc.
I would pair this Rosé with almost any delicate pastry, especially baked Tulumbi, or many appetizers, making this dry Rosé a great choice for get-togethers.
