Foris Estate Grown Rogue Valley Oregon 2016 Gewürztraminer, $11.04- $15.99, 90 points, was a very light brass color grading clear at the glass edge.
Once again I was disappointed in Gewürztraminer's vaunted reputation for aromatics; all 'this' nose could find was wet granite and a soft white blossom note.
The near medium-body with good acidity managed rich tropical and pome fruit flavors with a hint of Sambuca.
Texture was creamy, alcohol was a noticeable 14%, and the finish was long in the fading palate with a hint of vanilla.
Paired wonderfully with my spicy Sriracha bacon salad.
