Vinum Cellars Monterey 2014 Pinot Noir, $13.59-$16.99, 89 points, poured a light candy-apple red with a clear wine ring and glass bowl of light draping.
Smells of toasty cherry fruit and a whisper of blueberry were familiar.
Medium-plus body displayed good acidity, was more tannic than I would have expected from a Cali Pinot Noir, supportive, but not rough.
Black cherry flavor profile was garnished with coffee, licorice, and plum notes.
Finished fair of the fading palate, dates, bitter dark chocolate, warm spices, and suitable 13.5% alcohol.
Paired well with my roasted turkey and sweet potato stuffing.
I bought this PN at the Whole Foods of Bedford.
