Buehler Napa Valley 2013 Zinfandel, $10.19-$19.99, 85 points, poured opaque purple/red grading brighter near the thin clear wine rim and moderately leggy glass bowl.
Smells were somewhat sour black fruits with hints of chocolate and plum.
Medium-plus body carried good acidity and a mellow underlayment of tannin.
Flavors reflected the aromas and lacked balance, but the spicy finish helped to save this first Buehler wine I did not like.
The 14.5% alcohol was well-integrated.
