Smoking Loon 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, $6,76-$12.99, 85 points, was a light glossy gold color.
Smells of fresh-cut grass with a touch of passion fruit were quite robust.
Light to light plus-bodied with good acidity and tart flavors of cumquat and orange zest with grass notes were surprising pleasant.
Finished a bit weakly on the trailing palate, but good refreshing ginger and the 13.5% alcohol resuscitated the end of this satisfactory Sauvignon Blanc (white) table wine.
Paired well with my fresh Icelandic haddock.
