Concannon Vineyards Monterey County 2014 Chardonnay, $8.49-$11.99, 86 points, was a straw yellow color.
Smells of vanilla and toffee were rather strong, but a softer fresh baked white bread aroma was good.
Medium-plus body with fair acidity managed a noticeably oaked Chardonnay with whispers of apple flavors.
Finished long on caramel, hints of ginger, and a reasonable 13.5% alcohol.
Paired fine with my ham steak, tomato salad, and mac and cheese.
