Monrosso Toscana IGT 2015 Red Wine, $11.89-$16.99, 90 points, appeared bright ruby red with a broad clear wine ring and light draping on the glass wall.
Smells of cherry fruit, black tea, and a hint of citrus were good.
Medium-bodied, crisp, dry, nicely acidic, and firmly tannic describes this excellent red table wine.
Cherry, tobacco, tea, white pepper, and hints of rose flavors were complex, and carried deep into the long finish with a respectable 13.5% alcohol.
The QPR is outstanding, and paired perfectly with my spaghetti in a beefy tomato sauce.
