The aromatically shy cedar potpourri was pleasant, although it took a few hours for it to emerge.
Full-bodied with bright acidity and firm very fine tannins managed a complex flavor profile showing graphite, dried sweet cooking herbs, black fruit, and mint.
Finished quite long on the finessed trailing palate, anise, easy pepper spices, and a more Bordeaux-styled 13.9% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my rare spice-rubbed Angus rib eye steak.
