Alamos, Mendoza, Argentina, 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, $7.64-$11.99, 88 points, poured a Welch's grape drink purple with pomegranate red highlights, thin stained legs, and a broad clear wine ring.
Aromas of toasty blackberry, cinnamon, clove, ripe mulberry, and soft floral vibes were pleasant.
A round full-bodied dry red wine with fair acidity, soft tannins, and upfront rich flavors reflective of the aromas, a hint of chocolate, and anise.
Weakening mid-palate, but gaining savory, cayenne, iron, and red raspberry notes on the long finish with a modest 13.5% alcohol.
Paired well with my beef stew.
This is an excellent QPR red wine.
