Tenute Silvio Nardi 2016 Brunello Di Montalcino, $46.74-$54.99, 95 points, poured a deep brandy red with a broad meniscus and copious stained legs.
Aromas of fennel, black cherry, Clementine peel, anise, clove, and and soft rose pedal were outstanding.
This red wine was just shy of full-bodied, bone-dry, and showed flavors reflective of the aromas with cayenne pepper.
Finished forever on the 14.5% alcohol-infused cayenne pepper and a touch of spearmint.
Paired perfectly with our Chef salad and Ollie's pepperoni pizza.
