Ortas Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages, Les Peyrières Rasteau 2018 Red Wine

Ortas Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages, Les Peyrières Rasteau 2018 Red Wine, $13.49-$19.99, 88 points, poured sort of a Welch's grape drink purple with a deep maroon sheen, copious stained-legs, and a broad clear wine ring.
Aromas of ripe mulberry, lavender, black pepper, and soft candy Cain were pleasant.
Full-bodied dry red wine with good acidity, firm/supportive tannins, and interesting flavors of anise, Damson plum, mulberry, loam, a hint of funk, and citrus were good if a bit austere.
Finished tart, dry, and long on the fading palate with a 14.5% alcohol.
Paired fine with my Mexican cuisine, but wonderful with my dessert of chocolate covered Halvah.
Definitely a good buy for those who like a more tannic and austere red wine.
