Gemma Di Luna Delle Venezie 2017 Pinot Grigio (DOC), $7.64-$14.99, 88 points, was a pale straw yellow color.
The aromas peeked early after the pour, and showed hints of grapefruit and pineapple.
Slightly heavier than light-bodied, but with good acidity, early palate apple flavor, and a nondescript fruity profile endured through to an unremarkable, though tangy, finish.
The 12% alcohol was appropriate to the wine which paired perfectly with my sautéed wild-caught Halibut.
"Tablescape" or table-setting gravitas value: 95 points; guests might mistake the bottle for a vase.
