Bommarito Napa Valley (Whitehall Lane) 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, $9.09-$18.99 (NHLS gift-card applied), 88 points, poured a light brass color and trended water clear toward the glass rim.
The aromas of lemon-grass and honeysuckle were faint, but were lovely.
A light bodied white wine with good acidity, and tenuous flavors of grapefruit, lemon-grass, ripe honeydew melon, a floral component, tangerine, and an unusually prominent alcohol (13.2%) which carried deep into the fair flash/finish of ginger notes.
Texturally, white wines tend to transition from crisp-cold to a more creamy-warm, and this was especially true of the Bommarito Napa Valley SB (see Sur lie aging).
Paired well with my Maine Lobster roll.
