Ca' Momi Napa Valley 2012 Merlot, $9.99-$19.99, 90+ points, appeared opaque at the core and trended a lovely crushed blackberry purple/red before a thin silver ring at the glass wall.
Aromatic plum, grape, clove, with hints of cocoa powder impressed.
The smooth medium-plus body as was the acidity, with a complementary flavor profile of dusty cocoa powder and plum were near perfectly supported by strident underlining tannin which trailed deep into the long finish of ever-so slight green notes of grape, 13.9% alcohol, and spice.
