Raiza Rioja 2007 Tempranillo Reserva
Raiza Rioja 2007 Tempranillo Reserva,$13.50-$18.00,90+points, displayed colors of pomegranate and bright ruby with a transparent rim at the leggy glass wall. Blackberry, clove, sea air, and leather were pleasant on the nose. Medium bodied with mouth-watering acidity and accelerating tannin that enhanced the subtle black cherry and plum flavors. Finished long on cola, hints of eucalyptus, warm alcohol (14%), and spice notes. I bought this exceptional red wine at the Londonderry Hannaford's Super Market.
