Duck Pond (Fries Family Cellars) Willamette Valley 2012 Pinot Gris, $9.34-$13.99, 84 points, appeared a very light lime-green trending water clear.
Subtle aromas of apple, honeydew melon, and cantaloupe were okay.
Light bodied with mild acidity carried a subtle flavor profile that reflected the aromas well.
Finished fair, but a bit thin on the trailing palate with some of the 14.1% alcohol filling the void.
This is quintessentially a summer white wine that will not interfere with your cuisine at all, and will hardly be noticed.
