Frei Brothers Dry Creek Valley 2012 Zinfandel Reserve

Frei Brothers Dry Creek Valley 2012 Zinfandel Reserve, $13.60-$20.99, 90 points, began with a deep lovely Shiraz purple which tapered maroon toward the broad clear rim and leggy glass wall.
Aromatic cinnamon, cedar, and a gentle hint of clove complimented a spicy red cherry with hints of other red fruits.
Medium body with what is sometimes referred to as a dusty texture, which I added: dry-dusty texture with good acidity, and mulberry, blueberry, and blackberry flavors.
Finished long on white and black pepper, a hint of heat (14.8% alcohol), and slight vegetative note.
I bought this Zinfandel as a 'close-out' at the Londonderry Hannaford's Super Market.
