Château Malartic Lagraviere Grand Cru Classé De Graves Pessac-Léognan 2014 Bordeaux Red Wine, $41.64-$48.99, 93 points, poured core black grading ruby to purple/red at the clear wine ring and lightly draped glass bowl.
Aromatic blackberry, rose pedal, cedar, and coffee notes were excellent.
Full-bodied with good acidity and firm grainy tannins managed nicely tweaked Kahlua, generous black fruit jam, and a hint of plum.
Finished dry, long, and a tad astringent with mild warm spice and a spot-on 13.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my Australian grass-fed rib eye steak.
Varietals were 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot.

Sound interesting, but isn't 2014 a bit young to be drinking now? Did you but two bottles? Just wondering.
ReplyDeleteVG: Yup, too young, but can't wait, and no, I only bought one bottle, but I'll be buying another Château Fleur Cardinale, Saint-Émilion, Grand Cru Classé 2014!
