Cuvaison Kite Trail, Carneros, Napa Valley 2014 Chardonnay, $18.69-$44.99, 87 points, was a medium straw yellow color.
Smells of dusty Chardonnay grape with hints of cantaloupe and orange peel were okay.
Medium-bodied with fair-plus acidity showed a more typical Cali oaked rendition of this white wine, but a bit of brine with caramel combined for interesting flavors at the close-out price.
Finished fair on the trailing palate, a hint of spearmint, and a spot-on 13.8% alcohol.
Paired just okay with my buttery spanakopita.
