De Chanceny Crémant de Loire Brut Méthode traditionnelle NV Sparkling Wine (France)

De Chanceny Crémant de Loire Brut Méthode traditionnelle NV Sparkling Wine (France), $11.69-12.99, 87 points, began by failing the 'bubble test', showing relatively little effervescence and what there was, though continuous, were large sized bubbles; the color was a medium glossy gold.
The aromas were shy and unusually floral with sweet wheat and apple notes; really quite nice.
Light-bodied with good acidity, but lacking sparkling wine vitality did not preclude it from being delicious, which it was;
Flavors of fresh-baked bread, red-delicious apple, and a hint of lime were quite good.
Finished well with a touch of tongue-tingling ginger, the trailing palate, and a dry 12.5% alcohol.
Varietals were 15% Cabernet Franc, 15% Chardonnay, and 70% Chenin Blanc.
I bought this bubbly at the Whole Foods of Bedford.
