Matua Marlborough, New Zealand 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, $8.95-$13.99, 89 points, was a medium brass color.
Aromatic fresh-cut grass, passion fruit, and gooseberry were outstanding.
This was an unmistakably New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc accented with a crisp acidic body which carried tart lively flavors of grapefruit, passion fruit, and lemon oil.
Finished long on the trailing palate, gooseberry, cumquat, and a perky 13% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with My Icelandic cod.
