Produttori del 2013 Barbaresco DOCG (Piedmont, Italy), $25.49-$32.99, 92 points, poured a rainbow of cranberry reds with a broad clear wine ring at the rim, and a glass bowl sheeted with clinging moderate waves and legs.
Aromas of sweet red cherry, red raspberry, and a trace of floral tea were light and fragrant.
Light-bodied with a tannic kick or grip and good acidity struck a contrasting sense of 'fullness'; no feminine Nebbiolo here.
Nuanced through the forged structure fog was sufficient fruit and tea flavors as to mollify any 'meanness', and hints of citrus and flowers showed real complexity.
Finished long, tart, tannic with some safe pepper spice and a potent 14% alcohol.

I like your "floral tea" descriptor. No bubbles?
ReplyDeleteBubbles where brewing, sort of speaking!
