Cloudy Bay Marlborough 2014 Chardonnay (New Zealand), $19.54-$24.99, 90 points, was a pale straw yellow color.
Aromatic toasty honey and apple were excellent.
For me, this NZ Chardonnay was less than the label's full-body designation, but showed great acidity (unusual for a Chardonnay) with a touch of oak, but only a touch, and ripe peach, cantaloupe, and an interesting nuttiness.
Finished long on bright spicy ginger, Chardonnay typical grape flavor, and a well-balanced 13.5% alcohol.
Paired well with my Nantucket oysters on the half-shell, which surprised me.
