Girard Napa Valley 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon

Girard Napa Valley 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, $25.99-$29.99, 89+ points, poured core black grading an impregnable ruby red toward the clear wine ring and moderately leggy glass bowl.
The nose was a bounty of solid aromatic black fruit nuanced with cedar and sea mist.
Near full-bodied with good acidity and a firm underlayment of tannin which carried tart/tangy red raspberry, pomegranate, coffee, and plum flavors.
Finished well on the trailing palate, sparks of white pepper, and a balanced 14.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my saucy Asian spiced baby back ribs
Girard Napa Valley 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon was a solid sophisticated red wine.
