Casanova di Neri Sant' Antimo Rosso di Casanova di Neri, 2015 Toscana IGT, $16.14-$19.99, 87 points, poured an opaque ruby red grading a more red than purple toward the broad clear wine ring and moderately draped bowl.
The nose was a rather 'big' deal beginning briefly with a bit of funk transitioning quickly to cherry fruit, cinnamon, and juniper.
Medium-bodied with bright acidity and mildly drying tannins carried cherry fruit, plum, and mint flavors that snowballed deep into the long finish accented with red cherry, a bit of spiciness, and a spot-on 13.5% alcohol.
Varietals are 90% Sangiovese, 10% Colorino.
Paired fine with my burgers and chips.
