Tenuta Perolla San Felice Toscana 2017 Rosato IGT (Italy), $11.04-$12.99, 90 points, poured a dark salmon color while greying at the glass edge.
The nose was a rather typical strawberry aroma, but a floral vibe and a whiff of Necco Wafer candy added a fragrant depth.
Light-bodied with good acidity and a lovely panoply of red fruit including red cherry, watermelon, and strawberry double-downed on this Rosé's depth.
Finished long on energized ginger, a hint of white pepper, and a well-balanced 13% alcohol.
Varietals were Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Paired perfectly with my spicy Mexican cuisine.
