Ruffino "Il Ducale" Friuli 2017 Pinot Grigio, $11.89-$18.99, 92 points, poured almost water clear with gold highlights.
Aromatic peach, pome blossoms, and grass notes were excellent.
The off-dry body was light, brightly acidic, and tasty with citrus, peach, grass, and floral flavors.
Finished long on the trailing palate, ginger, and a well-balanced
12.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my sautéed Canadian Maritime Halibut.
Way more an intense Pinot Grigio than I'm used to: fresh, fruity, and almost Sauvignon Blanc distinctive; my pleasure in it should be self-evident!
