Castellare 2017 Chianti Classico (DOCG), $21.99-$24.99, 91 points, poured a deep magenta purple/red with a broad transitional wine ring and a necklace of tears.
Aromatic cornucopia of red fruits with a hint of rose pedal and cinnamon were excellent.
Medium-bodied red wine with bright acidity and grippy tannins delivered the aromas onto my palate with a touch of black tea.
Finished long, tart, and tasty on the sliding palate and a well balanced 13.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my meat lovers pizza.
