Tiki Single Vineyard Marlborough 2014 Pinot Gris (New Zealand), $9.99-$19.99, 89 points, poured a straw yellow color with a copper sheen.
The aroma was a fresh water running stream of minerality.
Medium-bodied (first unusual characteristic) with good acidity embraced a robust grapy flavor profile enriched with an ale yeastiness (second unusual characteristic).
Finished long with a kick of unoaked Chardonnay impersonator (third unusual characteristic), ginger, and a well-balanced 13.5% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with my sautéed Haddock.
