Vercoope Pavão NV Vinho Verde (Portugal), $7.99-$8.99, 87 points, poured with a hint of effervescence which struggled to get noticed on the palate; colors were a light brass (water clear at the rim) and a faint yellow sheen.
Aromas were nearly mute save for a hint of lime.
Light, soft, and fair-plus acidity delivered a rather nondescript and unobtrusive flavor profile that just seemed to work for me, as it paired perfectly with my Thai vegetables/noodles and spicy sautéed Sea scallops.
Finished nicely tart with an orange-peel note and a spot-on 11% alcohol.
