Coppola 2017 Pinot Grigio (California), $4.13-$7.99, 88 points, was a light gold color clearing at the glass rim.
The aromas were dominated by apple and a floral vibe.
Light-plus body showed good acidity and rich flavors of kiwi, apple, Necco wafer, and a rear-guard ginger.
Finished fair on the trailing palate and a restrained 12.5% alcohol.
Paired well with our Buffalo wings, celery, and chunky blue cheese.
I'm not a big fan of Francis Ford Coppola wines, but this was an excellent value close-out buy.
