Cline Cashmere 2011 Red Wine (GSM), $10.70-$17.99, 86 points, shines brightly with the most brilliant ruby red I've ever seen.
Voluminous red fruit make-up the aroma, and with an earthy raspberry/strawberry leading the way, I was sure a fruity wine would follow; I was right! The flavor profile follows the nose well, add red cherry, licorice and more subtle chocolate notes, and those desirous of a fruit-forward wine will not be disappointed.
Mild to moderate acidity, and mild tannin carried on a fruity-smooth base, almost, but not quite, surrender this wine sweet
The floral finish was a bit weak with hints of spice.
Varietals are Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Syrah.
