Chateau d'Arcins Haut-Medoc 2014 Bordeaux Red Wine, $17.86-$22.99, 89 points, appeared core black grading purple/red toward the broad clear rim and heavy legged glass bowl.
Smells of toasty cedar, blackberry, sandalwood, and plum were excellent.
Full-bodied with good acidity and firm grainy tannins managed well blended flavors of bacon fat, black fruit, and warm spices.
Finished well on the trailing palate with a 13% alcohol intensifying spiciness.
Paired perfectly with my beef stew.
