Vina Robles Estate Paso Robles 2013 Petite Sirah, $10.19-$24.99, 92 points, poured broadly black with a clear rim and clinging sheets on the bowl.
Complex bouquet of plums, ripe blackberry, violets, roses, cedar, and a neat hint of citrus was wonderful.
Full-bodied with good acidity and firm comfortable tannins delivered the bouquet onto the palate, even showing that citrus note.
Finished very long on easy spice notes, enduring pipe tobacco, a hint of fig, and a strident 14.9% alcohol.
Paired perfectly with our boorish hamburgers.
