Colimoro 2014 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (DOC), $4.79-$10.99, 89 points, poured an impregnable purple/red grading a brighter garnet toward the very broad clear rim and lightly draped glass bowl.
Aromas of earth, black olives, and floral cherry fruit were excellent.
Medium-bodied with mouth-watering acidity and fine grainy tannins delivered cherry cola, pomegranate, and fennel flavors throughout the palate.
Finished well with nuanced warm spices and a well-balanced 12.5% alcohol.

I enjoy the vibrant colors in your photos. The red roses reinforce your vivid description of brighter garnet, floral cherry, cherry cola, and pomegranate. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteAnon: Too kind, but thank you. I believe wine is beautiful: wine is beautiful in itself, the bottles, the labels, but also what is behind it: the vineyards and people.
