Villa Pillo Borgoforte Toscana 2014 Red Wine (IGT), $11.89-$18.99, 90 points, poured an opaque sienna color, a clear rim, and light draping on the glass bowl.
Smells of black cherry, coffee, and Lamiaceae herbs were very good.
Medium-bodied with good acidity, structurally supportive tannins, and delicious cherry fruit, black tea, truffle, and herbal flavors.
Finished long on the trailing palate, good pepper spice notes, and a well-integrated 13.5% alcohol.
Varietals were Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
A perfect red table wine: great QPR, delicious, and food friendly.
