Whitehaven Marlborough 2017 Sauvignon Blanc

Whitehaven Marlborough 2017 Sauvignon Blanc, $13.59-$15.99, 90 points, was a light pale gold color grading a clear grey color at the glass shallows.
Aromas of grapefruit and gooseberries were dominant, but more subtle grass and tangerine notes were lovely.
Light, acidic, and dramatically New Zealand with a fine rendering of the aromas onto the palate.
Finished well and with a surprisingly nuanced flavor of Lychee.
The 13% alcohol was well-balanced, and this SB paired fine with our sautéed sea scallops and buttered asparagus.
