Quinta do Noval Black Port, $16.14-$20.99, 90 points, poured broadly black grading to a redder than purple penumbra with the bowl showing fat legs.
Aromatic dusty bourbon, blackberry liqueur, raisin, plum, and black licorice were good.
Full-bodied with fair acidity and soft tannins translated the aromas with tang throughout the palate and deep into a never-ending finish nuanced with a warm spiced inspirited 19.5% alcohol.
Paired fine with our 70% dark chocolate.
