Carmel Road Monterey 2014 Riesling, $8.99-$10.99, 86 points, was a light gold color clearing toward the glass shallows.
The nose was a petrol attack with apple debris and a vestigial pear note.
The light body, not quite dry, white wine with mouthwatering acidity reclaimed from the obtrusive petrol flavor the more balanced guava, dusty tangerine, and ginger flavors which carried deep into the fair finish punctuated by a well-integrated 13% alcohol.
Paired nicely with our Chinese cuisine.
