Tarima Hill D.O. Alicante 2010 Monastrell, $11.89-$16.99, 87 points, poured core black grading ruby red with a broad meniscus and fat stained legs.
Aromas were red fruit jam with smoky plum and a sour floral vibe.
Full-bodied with good acidity and still quite firm grainy tannins managed to deliver the aromas onto the palate with red licorice and loam.
Finished woody and earthy with building wooly tannins, fading plum, residual blueberry, soft spices and a bit over the top 15% alcohol.
