Veni Vidi Vici 'V' 2016 Chardonnay (Bulgaria), $9.99-$10.99, 89 points, was a medium brass color clearing at the shallow glass edge.
Aromatic honeysuckle, pome blossoms, and the faintest whiff of cantaloupe were outstanding.
Near medium-bodied with fair-plus acidity delivered an excellent minerality with a slightly sour flavor rendition of the aromas joined with subtle lemon.
Finished very long on the trailing palate, earth notes, white pepper, and a well-integrated 13% alcohol.
As is so often true of Chardonnay produced outside of the United States, Vini was clean and 'unmanipulated' by oak.
Paired perfectly with my sautéed salmon cakes.
