Cline 'Bridgehead' Contra Costa County 2014 Zinfandel

Cline 'Bridgehead' Contra Costa County 2014 Zinfandel, $14.44-$39.99, 88 points, poured a deep opaque Welch's grape juice purple/red with a broad clear wine ring and fat dense legs.
Profuse aromas of wild briar fruit and mulberry were a bit sour, but okay.
Medium-bodied with good acidity and a fine grainy underlayment of tannin produced flavors of blueberry, plum, cherry cola, and red licorice.
Finished well on the trailing palate, mild pepper spices, truffle, and a bit over the top 15.5% alcohol.
Paired appropriately with our meat-lovers pizza.
