Zuccardi Q Mendoza Valley 2015 Malbec (Argentina), $16.99-$19.99, 91 points, poured an opaque purple/red and spotted oases of black with a bleeding broad clear wine ring and moderately stained draping.
Aromas of wild ripe blackberries, smoky dark chocolate, and roses were excellent.
Sleek full body with good acidity and a mellow underlayment of tannin ushered a black fruit flavor profile nuanced with chocolate, peat, and plum.
Finished well on the trailing palate, developing tannins, easy white pepper, savory, and a nicely-balanced 14% alcohol.
Paired beautifully with my hot Cajun-styled ribs.
