Torresella Venezia 2017 Pinot Grigio (DOC), $13.99-$15.99, 90 points, was a very light brass color clearing at the glass edge.
The excellent and lovely nose, though a bit quiet, showed lemon/lime, tropical fruit, and dare I say, Necco wafer.
The light body with good acidity delivered faithfully the nose onto the palate.
Finished with a slight sensation akin to spritz, and furtive flavors of tangy grapefruit and ginger with an unobtrusive 12% alcohol.
A very distinctive Pinot Grigio, which paired nicely with my sautéed Icelandic filet of sole.
